Business Manager
Business Manager isn’t a great title but it fits pretty well with what my role in the business is now. Ive spent the past 20 years as a broker having started with Simon and Mark at Aussie and formerly a Sergeant with Vic Police. Now I get to use the knowledge and experience I’ve gained to work closer with our clients than ever before, and the business experience accumulated over 30 years to drive the business into the digital age.

Like Andy and Simon, I started in Home lending with Aussie Home loans what seems a lifetime ago. A former detective with Vic Police I have a close attention to detail in lending (although thats not what everyone calls it!) The last 20 years have been spent working with some amazing people both in the industry and as clients. It’s a real privelege when you speak to a client from 15+ years ago to help their kids get a start in property.

Mortgage Broking is probably as far from professional water skiing as you can get, but here I am. A qualified Chef, professional Water Skier (although not so much these days) and a broker for the past 20 years. I like to make sure I remind my colleagues that I do live here in Mooloolaba on the Sunshine Coast every winter and that we’re fortunate to be in an industry that allows remote working so easily. Ive been involved in the industry as a Broker for more than 10 years, originally working in debt reduction and wealth creation through property investment. Ive worked with some large companies over the previous 25 years, but there’s a value in working with a smaller team in your own space that suits our current lifestyle (at least the dog thinks so!).

I’ve been working with Andy, Mark and Simon since 2007 and more recently with Haydn and Paul. I came across to The Finance market after 10+ years with ANZ Bank. I think if there’s a situation in buying property, or refinancing loans - then I’ve come across it and sorted it. I’m the back end problem solver to keep things moving as they’re supposed to.
